Processes Coatings Coatings The Cilander Group is one of the most state-of-the-art coating plants in Europe with a wide and diverse range of machinery. The Eisenhammer plant in Flawil has two solvent-free coating units for widths of up to 200 cm. They are primarily used to apply coatings to technical textiles, especially for base materials for abrasives. The air discharged from the coating units is decontaminated by a thermal post-combustion system in order to meet the strict emission limits. A modern and versatile coating unit for the application of solvent-based and water-based coatings on widths of up to 320 cm has been in operation at Geissbühler in Lützelflüh in the canton of Berne since October 2009. Both ultra-fine and heavy-duty coatings are possible. Coatings can be applied by roller or air blade, while the range of services also includes indirect or transfer coating on paper. The systems are also in place for wet and dry laminating.
