High-permanence fabrics with a super-soft feel and
refined, washed look are in greater and greater
demand not only in the high-quality shirt sector but
in many other areas as well. The old tumble dryer was
no longer entirely up to this demand, prompting AG
Cilander to install a new state-of-the-art unit. The
versatile “Enairgy” system developed by Italian firm
Pentek combines two basic process concepts.
Firstly, it is possible to tumble dry textiles continuously in rope form or full
width. Secondly, the range of effects that can be achieved is much wider thanks
to the multiple options in terms of controlling the speed and moisture.
Everything is possible with the "Enairgy", from the soft-feel finish right
through to the permanent used look.
Energy consumption is another area in which this tumble dryer sets new
standards. Rather than continuing to expel all the warm air outside via the
flue, much of it is now being recycled - a new feature allowing significant
rationalisation of energy costs. Another fundamental improvement is the
levelling frame attachment with inbuilt steaming and drying device on which the
fabric can be straightened, coated, laid and rolled up in the same process step.
